Board Meeting and Class B State Tournament Results

The State Board meets this Friday and Saturday, April 15th and 16th in St. Cloud.  Friday night they are working on setting up the Regions for all of the Class C teams.  The meeting is at the Holiday Inn in St. Cloud starting at 7:00 P.M.  The Sections are already set for Class B, however, they will review the criteria that the B teams have set up for their Super Sections that will be held the week end of August 12-14. 

Saturday, the Board will meet with the Region and Section commissioners at 10:00 A.M. at the Eastside VFW.  They will go over the Regions and Sections and have their regular meeting after that. 

The Class B teams have had three meetings and worked on setting up the Super Sections and methods of seeding the teams.  They have selected four sites to hold the Super Sections and have worked out a system to seed all the B teams.  Here is one of the pieces of research that was used to determine possible seeds. These are the results of State Tournament games for each team that qualified for the last five years:

2006 was a 16 team double elimination (31 games).  All other years were 16 team

single elimination first round--eight team double elimination after that (22 or 23

games).
